Operating Hours

Disney Time

It seems like a simple, somewhat unimportant thing when you are at Walt Disney World, but if you don’t know them, you could get caught unaware. Today we look at OPERATING HOURS!

One of the constants at Walt Disney World is change! Operating Hours of the four theme parks can change daily. They can even change on the day you are visiting! And, the hours vary depending on the time of year. So, how do you find out what the hours are going to be for the purpose of planning? Well, let’s look at a few ideas!

You could just shoot from the hip and show up not knowing what the hours are for the day before you arrive. Then, you take the gamble that your ADR for ‘Ohana won’t allow you to get back to The Magic Kingdom in time for The Main Street Electrical Parade. What do you do?

Or, you could use one of several online tools that are available. One tool is at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/calendars/. This is from Disney and allows you to change the date at the top to get the current schedule for they days you are seeking. It will also show you which parks have Extra Magic Hours that day. Most of these are available at about six months out.

You can also visit http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm to check hours, EMH, and also what parades, fireworks, or shows that are scheduled for that day. This site is from The Dis and has an extreme amount of information.

One last tip. If you are using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, you can always ask them to look it up for you! ADVPs have access to some tools that are available to the general public and may be able to assist you in firming up your daily itinerary.

There are many other places on the internet to find the information you seek. If you need help finding it, just let me know at threestrandswdw@outlook.com and I’ll be glad to lend a hand, or guide you to an agent in your area!

Have a Blessed and Magical day, Disney Lovers!!

I am a Disney fanatic who can't get nearly enough time to be there! I am married to someone who isn't as into it as I am, but tolerates my "hobby". I live in Ohio, but would love to make the move to Orlando, if I would work either at Walt Disney World, or in some peripheral business serving the WDW area! I invite you to read, comment, and submit ideas anytime at threestrandswdw@outlook.com. Or, even better, send me a trip report to share with others! We all like to live through the experiences of others, help us stay connected to the magic! Thank you!!
